Ultra-Clear, High-Tech Polymer Gel
The Polymer Gel is a Perfect Medium for Adding Depth to Dyes or Stains. Add a Little Dye or Stain to the Gel & Stir or Shake for a Solid Color.
Odorless, Inert and Cleans Up with Plain Water. Or, Apply the Gel to Horizontal Surface & Add a Few Drops of Dye or Stain, Swirling the Color Into a Pattern Using a Toothpick or Similar Object. Do Not Rinse After Application of Color/s. Using this Gel, You are able to create “Raised” or “Embossed” areas of color on Your Metal Art.
Approx. Dry Time is 8-24 Hrs., Leaving a 6-8 Mil Film Thickness, High Gloss, Very Hard Plasticized Finish. Cured Gel is Impervious to Solvents, but is Softened with Water, so a Good Clear-Coat Is Required After Full-Cure. The Cured Film is Water Soluble, so it is Best to Shoot a Light Coat of Polyurethane onto your bare steel & let dry before applying the Poly Gel, to avoid any discoloration of the substrate. Cures Rock-Hard, but is still subject to softening with water contact, so a clear-coat is highly recommended.
