SDS’s Are Not Meant for Consumers or End-Users.
SDS’s Are Meant For:
Employees Who May be Occupationally Exposed to a Hazard or Hazards at Work, as a Condition of Their Employ. (Full-Time Workers)
Employers Who Need to Know the Proper Methods of Storage, Handling, Safe Use, Etc.
Emergency Responders, e.g. Firefighters, Hazardous Material Crews, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’S), Paramedics and Emergency Room Personnel.
An SDS Reflects the Hazards of Working With the Material or Materials in an Occupational Fashion. For Example: An SDS For Paint is Not Highly Pertinent to Someone Who Uses 1 or 2 Cans of Paint Per Year, But is Extremely Important to Someone Who Uses That Same Paint 40 Hrs. a Week, or More…
