I use the bronze to color the metal 1x2 rectangular tubing I use as a base for live edge cedar and mesquite tables. I also add a bit of copper patina in streaks and pools for interest. It looks almost black in low light but shows great colors with a bit of light or sunlight.

This stuff is amazing. I’m new to metal finishing and have tried several other methods to get an antique bronze finish on mild steel. All were time consuming with mediocre results. This stuff worked almost instantly and was immediately followed by oiling. Truly looks like oil rubbed aged bronze in under 5 minutes (including the oiling). Not blackened or blued like other products but truly bronze color. Love this stuff!

Will the darker patinas, like BRONZE F/X™, BLACK F/X™ & FLAME F/X™ work on rusty steel?
Answer: All of the darker patinas, like BRONZE F/X™ & BLACK F/X™ will work on and darken any steel substrate, regardless of the condition of the steel.
However, the “look” of the patinas over rusted steel will be different than if applied to shiny steel.
Good question, but the best answer is: They will work, but some experimentation is definitely called for, as it would be difficult to remove the patinas from rusted steel w/o disturbing the original ‘rusty steel look’ beneath.

Yes, absolutely! Far safer than toilet bowl cleaner, which we all use and flush.
